Lindsay is a seasoned social worker working primarily with Denver’s youth. As a passionate advocate for social and emotional skill building, Lindsay brings a unique blend of expertise and enthusiasm to Walk As If.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Connecticut, Lindsay went on to earn a Masters in Social Work and a Certification in Human Animal-Environment Interactions from the University of Denver. In her current practice, Lindsay supports K-8 students from the Denver Public School System and focuses on helping them develop social, emotional, and behavioral health strength through active engagement, discussion, and play therapy.
Early in her career, Lindsay worked as a mentor at an adoption agency where she helped foster resilience in children by designing and engaging in trauma-informed exercises centered on a variety of life skills and emotional regulation strategies. She also spent years managing teams of counselors charged with providing accessible skill-building strategies to adolescent-aged boys.
Lindsay Pressman joined the Walk As If Board of Directors to further her belief that self-regulation, social and emotional skills, and accessible care are the keys that unlock potential and empower youth to live confident and successful lives. From childhood experiences to professional milestones, her dedication to serving programs for equitable care is deeply rooted in her journey.
Originally from New Jersey, Lindsay enjoys being outside, doing puzzles, and is an avid skier in the winter.
